My work is deeply connected to my emotions, often shaped by moments of sadness. I find solace in creating artworks that depict abandoned dogs. Despite the pain they’ve endured at the hands of humans, their innocent and beautiful appearance—like delicate flowers—never fails to bring a smile to my face. Yet, this beauty also deepens my sorrow for the many animals sacrificed by human neglect. Through my art, I aim to evoke warmth and compassion. I use a traditional Korean coloring method, meticulously layering paint on hanji (Korean paper). This slow, deliberate process reflects my desire to honor these animals and express the fragility and resilience they embody. My work is a tribute to their silent suffering and enduring beauty.
