My paintings explore quiet moments of stillness, where light meets ordinary objects and silence deepens into meaning. In works like Gratitude I & II, I focus on how natural light transforms familiar subjects into reflective spaces. A fruit in shadow, a wall touched by sunlight—these quiet details become vessels for presence and memory.

Working primarily in oil, I build each piece slowly, layering light, shadow, and subtle color shifts. This process mirrors how calm unfolds over time. I’m drawn to contrasts—fullness and emptiness, motion and stillness—and how they hold tension within peace.

For me, painting is a way of listening. It is a quiet practice that sharpens my awareness of the overlooked and ordinary. I hope viewers, too, can step into that slowed-down space and find something gentle, restorative, and deeply human in the stillness.
