In my art, I like to capture the beauty in natural landscapes.  I paint oil painting, acrylics, and watercolors.  Different mediums allow me to express different ideas.

I try with every finished work to breathe life into a long-forgotten culture so that it’s designs, ideas, innovations, and lifestyle are displayed on my canvas.  I don’t paint just so I can reproduce a scene.  Color is one of the most powerful tools an artist can use to capture a mood or express an emotion.  However, it can also be intimidating.  Color is a big subject.  The possibilities are endless, but the fun is the exploration.  The challenge, as with any recreated moment from the past, is to not caricature the moment and instead capture it in all its former glory.

My artwork speaks, not only for me, but for people who were long ago silenced.
